From Two Gates to The RAF
Our young persons scheme has been an amazing success over the years. We love to see the young people progress with:
The knowledge and understanding of how work pays
Their confidence and personal growth
Adapting to and understanding constructive criticism
Earning their own money
Gaining independence
Paying for their own driving lessons then getting their first cars
It’s all just amazing to see.
Many go on to do degrees, apprenticeships and even develop their own businesses. We are very proud of them all!
Then there is our Liam…
Back chat, resistant to change, thought he had more knowledge of the business than our amazing manager Fiona… The endless discussions, often ending with “wind your neck in Liam” and constant words of advice.
In particular, he felt stupid if he didn’t pick things up straight away - this is a common trait for our young people.
Thanks to the nurturing nature and guidance from us all and months of guidance, reassurance and telling off’s, he started to listen.
He became:
An amazing member of the team
Reliant
Hardworking
Thoughtful
Keen to learn new tasks
His ambition was to join the RAF. Craig initially laughed and said “you do know you will have to do as you are told and definitely no back chatting!”
Well…
After nearly two years of working at Two Gates, and a lot of support and guidance, he achieved his ambition and joined the RAF. We have never been so proud of his determination to achieve his ambition.
He passed his training with flying colours and is now awaiting for his first posting. We at Two Gates are exceptionally proud of his achievements.
Congratulations Liam! From the Two Gates team 👏🏼🎉🩶
